WHAT IS CROSSFIT?
CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program aimed to make people fit for any physical contingency. It is simply defined as ‘constantly varied, functional movements carried out at high intensity.’
Constantly Varied: We’re always changing the workouts so your body doesn’t adapt, causing your growth to plateau. In other words, it doesn’t get easier, you just get better…and the same goes with life!
Functional movements: These are movements that are natural and safe, that the human body is designed to perform. They promote neurological and hormonal responses leading to better health, actual strength, core stability, agility, and flexibility.
High Intensity: In simple terms, intensity (or power) is a measurement of how much work you can produce or weight you can carry over the longest distance in the shortest amount of time, all the while maintaining proper technique and form.
Intensity is key to producing results!
